Cetacean Behavior Lexicon
This is a forty-year-long study of the behavior of dolphin, porpoises, and whales, collectively known as cetaceans. The behavior of these intelligent mammals is diverse and relates mainly to the environments in which they live. Although many species share the majority of their behaviors, individual species have adapted to many different conditions, environments, and situations and they have developed some unique behaviors. These behaviors, as well as the more common ones, are explained and illustrated in black and white.
