Northwest Native American Coastal and Plateau Cultures
This is a comparison and contrast study of Native American coastal and plateau (inland) cultures. The tribes represented own land from the Northern California Border to the Buford Sea in Alaska. Canadian and USA tribes are included. Their customs, migrations, population statistics, internal structures, kinds of memberships, their arts and crafts, and numerous other phenomena are examined. This is also a longitudinal study, encompassing the tribes' earliest histories through their current development. Over a hundred black and white (early photographs) and modern color photographs depict life within the tribes.
